Can anyone help identify the markings/stamp on the 2 bracket/stays which is part of the Girder forks on my 1929 New Henley.
It looks like it says "The Webb"

Webb forks commonly had "Webb" in script form on their fork links. After this much time since they were new it's difficult to say whether they did it on all their forks as so many have been rebuilt over the years.
I know when I've made new links and spindles for Webbs I've never had the "Webb" script engraved on them and I'm sure most others didn't bother either.
Webbs made a huge range of forks for all size of bikes and to my mind are one of the better make of girder fork.

Cheers
